Fit & Fuel MHF Fundraiser
Fit & Fuel MHF Fundraiser
Story
When our group sat down to plan our university event management project, we knew we wanted to do more than tick a box for an assignment — we wanted to create something that could genuinely make a difference.
As a group of sports fans, we've seen how present the Mark Hughes Foundation is across the sporting community, from NRL to grassroots events. Seeing an organisation so embedded in the sport we love, working toward better outcomes for people affected by brain cancer, made it an easy choice for us.
That's what led us to create Fit & Fuel — an event that brings together fitness and nutrition, two things we're passionate about, to raise funds and awareness for a cause that matters. We wanted our event to reflect what we believe: that looking after your body through movement and good food is something everyone can be part of, and that community events like this one can turn that shared interest into real support for people who need it.
We're not fundraising because of a personal story tied to brain cancer — we're fundraising because we saw an opportunity to use something we love, sport and health, to support a foundation doing important work. We'd love for you to join us, whether that's by attending, donating, or simply spreading the word.
