Story
July 23rd will mark 1 year that Ian (Doc, Wal) had surgery to remove the tumour found in his brain and in the days that followed it was confirmed he has Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM) the bastard of all brain tumours as we continue to be told. Ian has continued to live in Armidale surrounded by family and friends and is enjoying many visits from friends who live far and wide, old and new. As he says each evening "Every day is a good day".Please consider donating for much needed research into discovering a cure for a cancer that sadly has a very high mortality rate and survival rates have hardly changed for 35 years. It is the most complex cancer yet it is the most under-studied and receives less than 5% of federal government cancer research funding. Every dollar is much appreciated!

The Mark Hughes Foundation (MHF) is a charity formed in Newcastle by Mark and Kirralee Hughes following Mark’s diagnosis with Brain Cancer in 2013. The Mark Hughes Foundation’s mission is to raise much needed funds for research, to create awareness and support brain cancer patients and their families.
